Game inspired by American comics uses standard 52-card playing card deck
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, launched a game called Advent Heroes on his Studio Dice website on Friday. Takahashi, a longtime fan of American comics, drew inspiration from them for his new project. Unlike other games such as Yu-Gi-Oh! itself, Advent Heroes uses a standard 52-card playing card deck.
The Studio Dice website posted the Advent Heroes Fundamental Game Manual rulebook and an illustrated gameplay walkthrough — both in Japanese and in PDF format.
Takahashi also posted an illustrated story which centers around Tim Myers, the creator of the American comic franchise Advent Heroes, and Hugo Astray, the charismatic figure designer for Advent Heroes.
