As part of a promotional campaign for the eighth anime feature film in the Naruto franchise, Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison, the film's producers are partnering with the Yomiuri Giants baseball team to offer special "Naruto seats" for the Giants game versus the Yokohama BayStars at the Tokyo Dome stadium on July 26 through July 28.
Those who purchase the "Naruto seats" with exclusive ticket designs will receive a Naruto figurine cell phone strap. The strap offered at each game will have the titular character in different poses. The July 26 game will offer a running pose, the July 27 game will offer a batting pose, and the July 28 game will offer a strap with a pitching pose. Anyone who purchases the "Naruto seats" for all three days will receive a "Super Rare! Konoha Special Box" as a gift. In addition, 10,000 attendees on each day will receive a "Naruto x Giants" original game program with poster. On July 26, the character of Naruto will make an appearance on the field, and he will help announce and cheer on the players during the game.
Two thousand straps will be offered at each game, and seats will cost 2,300 yen (about US$28) each. Currently the Entertainment Plus website is accepting applications until May 31 for a lottery drawing for tickets. The remaining tickets will then go on general sale on June 11.
Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison will open in theaters in Japan on July 30. The official website for the film is streaming a promotional video. Advanced tickets will go on sale for the film on June 18.
