The previously announced anime adaptation of Miracle Train, the anthropomorphization of Tokyo's train stations, will premiere on Japanese television under the name Miracle Train ~Ōedo-sen e Yōkoso~ (Miracle Train: Welcome to Ōedo Line) in October. The young male characters are named after and inspired by several heavily travelled train stations in Tokyo. A web manga and a novel version already started in March.
The first version of the Miracle Train project focused on the stations of the central Chūō line, while the new anime and related stories deal with the Ōedo subway line. As a result, the anime will feature a newer cast of characters — specifically, Fumi Roppongi, Rintarō Shinjuku, Izayoi Tsukishima, Iku Shiodome, Saki Tochō, and Itsumi Ryōgoku.
