The official website for the One Piece anime films has relaunched with the first 45-second teaser trailer — in English — for this December's One Piece Film Strong World film. This movie is the 10th installment in the long-running theatrical franchise based on Eiichiro Oda's pirate manga.
The website features a written Japanese comment from Oda. (In the linked page, select the fourth option from the left in the bottom menu.) Oda notes that he created the movie's story and has drawn over 120 pages of rough drawings for its production. Unlike previous One Piece films, Oda is personally overseeing this film's production. (The website emphasizes that the One Piece television anime's Munehisa Sakai is the film's actual director.) The film will open in Japan on December 12.
Viz Media published the 21st volume of the original manga in North America last month, and Funimation has been releasing the television anime version and the eighth film, One Piece: The Desert Princess and The Pirates: Adventure in Alabasta.
