The Anime Expo convention has announced that it will host Yōsuke Kuroda, the founding head of Studio Orphee and the main writer on dozens of popular anime, during the July 2-5 event in Los Angeles. Kuroda was the head writer on Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Please Teacher! and its Please Twins! follow-up, S-CRY-ED, Pretty Sammy, and Infinite Ryvius. He also adapted the Excel Saga, Love Hina, Trigun, Honey and Clover, Hayate the Combat Butler, and Big Windup! manga into anime. Kuroda wrote the novel versions of Pretty Sammy, Photon, Tenchi Muyo, and Infinite Ryvius.
Bandai Entertainment have been releasing Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Please Teacher!, Please Twins!, S-CRY-ED, and Infinite Ryvius in North America, while Geneon Entertainment (USA) released Pretty Sammy.
